Masters degree (KC041 & KC042)

There are two Masters degrees available, the difference being the admission requirements (see below).

Master of Medicine (Sleep Medicine) - KC041

Admission to the Master of Medicine (Sleep Medicine) program requires a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) from the University of Sydney or another approved institution. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of one year postgraduate experience in the field of sleep medicine.

Master of Science in Medicine (Sleep Medicine) - KC042

Admission to the Master of Science in Medicine (Sleep Medicine) program normally requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (such as biology or a health science) with first or second class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of one year postgraduate experience in the field of sleep medicine.

Course delivery

The Masters Degree is a coursework degree with an element of self-directed learning. The content is delivered in virtual lectures and textbook references.

Assessment

Assessment is by formal examination, assignments, presentations and the analysis and interpretation of sleep studies.
