LAPAROSCOPIC APPENDICECTOMY AND CHOLECYSTECTOMY

Registration for the February 2018 course date is now open.

This course will help you master laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendicectomy and is specially designed to supplement the Surgical Skills Network Training Program. The course is useful for surgical trainees who have minimal laparoscopic skills, but will also benefit surgical trainees who would like to develop advanced laparoscopic skills. The sessions will include video-facilitated lectures and tutorials and will present simple and complex examples of the procedures. This is a boutique course and places are strictly limited. One-hour individual practical session with LAP Mentor simulator will be included. LAP Mentor sessions will largely be conducted on the Sunday, following lectures on Saturday. A booking form will be made available closer to the course date.


Students: Surgical trainees (Pre-SET trainees and SET trainees);
Criteria for application: Medical degree and interest in surgery
Places: Strictly limited to 30. Places will be offered on a first come basis.
