Growing Up With Cancer

Between 2010 and 2011, 27 young people were interviewed about the impact of cancer on the transition from adolescence to adulthood. 19 of these young adults created self-portraits representing their experience of growing up with cancer. An exhibition of these works toured Australia between in the years following the study, spending time at venues including hospitals, and community, art and education spaces. The works are now on permanent loan to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre art collection.
