The clinic is available to a range of individuals including those with diagnostic difficulties including interpretation of herpes simplex virus (HSV) serology, those with disseminated HSV lesions, patients who have failed or apparently failed treatment, immunocompromised patients with HSV-related disease and women with herpes who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
The clinic is a free service that is available to anyone. A referral is required either from the doctors/nurses within Parramatta Sexual Health Clinic, doctors at Westmead Hospital or general practitioners.

The clinic operates on Fridays from 10.00am - 1.00pm by appointment only. Appointments can be made by contacting Professor Mindel's office on + 612 9845 6286.
How do I Get There?
The clinic is located at the Parramatta Sexual Health Clinic, Level 1, Jeffrey House, 162 Marsden Street, Parramatta. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the clinic from Parramatta station. Alternatively there are bus services available from within the Parramatta area. Parking is available in the Parramatta CBD.
Can I attend anonymously and will I be seen by a specialist doctor/GP/nurse/counsellor?
All patients referred to the Herpes Clinic will be seen by a specialist doctor in the first instance and may be referred to a nurse/counsellor or other medical practitioner should this be indicated.
