Worawan Sukraroek, PhD Candidate

Worawan (Wora) is a recipient the Australian Leadership Award, an Australian government scholarship award aimed at promoting “potential leaders” from developing countries to further their studies in Australian’s universities and bring back experiences and knowledge for a better future. Wora commenced her PhD in Human Geography at the University of Sydney in January 2009. Wora’s PhD aims to revisit the concept of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and seek a mechanism to address issues of scale in the management of water resources in the Lower Mekong Basin. Prior to commencing her PhD, Wora worked for a Swedish government funded project on environmental flow assessment at the Mekong River Commission.
