Kate Griffiths, Research Officer

Kate provides research and administrative support to the AusAID funded Cambodia Water Project which is a five year water resource management research capacity development program based in Cambodia. This project is being led by the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) in Phnom Penh in conjunction with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the University of Sydney.
In addition to this work, Kate also manages the Australian Mekong Resource Centre. As well as managing the daily running of the Centre, Kate is also responsible for coordinating the Southeast Asian Seminar series which is co-jointly run by AMRC and the Chair of Southeast Asian Studies in the Faculty of Arts; managing the AMRC website; and organising and coordinating AMRC postgraduates, alumni and visiting scholars.
Kate has over five years experience in international development, primarily in the Southeast Asian region. She has conducted research on Chinese aid to the region and water governance in Cambodia. Kate hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Human Geography and is currently completing a Masters of Science (Research) on aid cultures in Cambodia .
