Sydney University Museums offers a limited number of work experience placements to school students throughout the year. Placements are open to secondary school students in year 10 and are for three days duration.
Students work with the Education and Public Programs team gaining experience in a variety of areas, including:
- Museum education
- Research in a university environment
- Object handling
- Arts administration
- Public programs and events in museums.
Our work experience program places a special emphasis on archaeology, ancient history and classics, art history, and museum studies.
If you are interested in being considered for a place, please submit an application including a resume and a short cover letter that explains your interest in a placement in our program.
