Discover A Historic Campus

Main Quadrangle

Main Quadrangle

Discover the stunning architecture and beauty of the Camperdown campus with a one hour guided tour of the buildings that make up the iconic Main Quadrangle. Our tour guide will take you on a journey of exploration, interweaving the history of the University with the development of the Quadrangle and the surrounding buildings. Wonder at the features that make our campus unique; including the Kangaroo gargoyle, the Great Hall, MacLaurin Hall and Sydney University Museums.

Outside of the Main Quadrangle, there is also the opportunity to explore an additional two buildings whose architecture and history are equally fascinating. Interested parties may also like to explore the Anderson Stuart Building -the original site of the Medical School- and the New Sydney Law School. Individually, they represent important architectural features of the University, while collectively they illustrate how the University has responded to growth and changing student needs over time.

Tours are available Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. Bookings should be made no less than two weeks in advance.

Cost

$13.00 per person, or $7.50 per senior citizen; including GST.
For small groups, a minimium charge applies.

Extending the tour to include either the Anderson Stuart Building or the New Sydney Law School will incur an additional charge.
An extra 20 - 30 minutes should be allowed for each of these tour options.
