In 1967 the Power Institute acquired a studio from the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, in the new complex of residences for artists and musicians on the right bank of the Seine in the Marais. Since then the Power Institute has offered generations of Australian artists and writers the opportunity to work for up to six months in the heart of Paris.

Since 2000, the artists Barbara Campbell, A.D.S. Donaldson, Alex Gawronski, Michelle Nikou and Tony Schwensen all spent time at the Power Cité studio, shaping a significant body of work. As the final program of the University Art Gallery celebrating 5 decades of the Power bequest, the exhibition focuses on their cosmopolitan exchanges with Parisian art and culture.
