Preserving for the Future

This is a display which examines the role of collecting zoological specimens in museums. What can we learn form these preserved bodies of life? How were they preserved and prepared? These questions and more are discussed and explained as we unravel the mysteries of Taxidermy.

This display also looks at the advances collections have made to our understanding of the diversity of life and why it is important for collections such as these to exist.
