NICHOLSON MUSEUM LIMITED EDITION PRINTS
In 2013 the Nicholson Museum will launch ann exhibition and book on the life and photographs of William John Woodhouse, accompanied by a limited edition print series.
Woodhouse was Professor of Greek at the University and Honorary Curator of the Nicholson Museum from 1901 until his death in 1938. He travelled throughout Greece between 1891 and the 1920s, making an archive of over 2000 glass plate negatives showing images of the time.
Previously publicly unseen, the Woodhouse Archive is already creating significant international interest.

Our printing process uses a specialist archival six ink monochrome print process on to 100% 315 gsm cotton rag paper. This process is exquisite and gives the highest fidelity to the original Woodhouse photograph.
Each print is is individually numbered and comes embossed with a custom designed stamp accompanied with a certificate embossed with the edition number.

Mousemats
Two different mousemats with motifs depict objects from the Nicholson Museum. One shows the god Triton from an Attic amphora dating to ca 550-525 BC. The front also gives a brief explanation of the scene and the University crest. The second mousemat features an Egyptian piebald dog from a faience plaque which was made during the Late New Kingdom (ca 1307-1070 BC). Description is given on a sticker on the plastic bag. The mousemats are wrapped in a clear, sealed cellophane bag.
