Conducting – Research and Creative Activity
Imre Pallo has been leading the Opera Conducting course at the prestigious Aspen Festival.
Following sold-out performances at the 2003 Banff Summer Arts Festival, Calgary Opera, and at the 2005 “Alberta Scene” at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, the Banff Summer Arts Festival presents the Canadian operatic sensation Filumena under the direction of Imre Pallo.. Canada’s leading young opera singers tell the inspiring and tragic true story of Florence Lossandro. Accompanied by the Banff Festival Orchestra, Filumena will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences once again. and recently conducting the world premiere of the opera Filumena, by composer John Estacio and libretto by John Murell, OC, AOE. Performances were hailed as:
