World New Music Days

101 Commissions will be showcased during the Conservatorium-hosted World New Music Days Festival in May 2010. This festival, held annually, is the largest contemporary music gathering in the world, and is being staged in the southern hemisphere for the first time since the International Society of Contemporary Music’s inception in 1922.

Musicians from up to 50 countries will be involved in 22 concerts, staged across Sydney – from the CBD to as far west as Penrith and Campbelltown, under the auspices of The Con, Aurora Festival, Australian Music Centre and ABC Classic FM.
