Accelerator projects

The AINST accelerator projects represent a $1 million funding investment by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) to kick-start cross-faculty nanoscience/technology collaborative projects across the University of Sydney’s research community.

The project funding has accelerated collaborative interdisciplinary research and generated visionary new research directions.

These projects span a diverse spectrum of topics from nanobots through to topologically ordered nanostructures, and nanomedicine to environmental nanoscience.

The accelerator research projects will establish strong foundations upon which the AINST’s future research programs can be built. They also highlight the societal context for the AINST research program, emphasising the institute’s focus on the grand challenges facing our society and the potential impact the research will have on our lives.
