University of Sydney tops NSW in global employability ranking
The University of Sydney has been ranked 42 in the world and number one in New South Wales in the most recent Times Higher Education Global Employability University Rankings.
The ranking was created from the combined votes of 2,200 recruiters and 2,400 managing directors of international companies across 21 countries.
The result follows the University of Sydney's number one ranking in Australia in the 2015 QS Employability Rankings released in November last year, which saw us ranked 14 in the world.
"These results once again place us in the top echelon of universities across the world, and reflect the quality of our education and the calibre of our students," said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Registrar) Professor Tyrone Carlin.
"Preparing students for the next stage in their lives so that they can make a difference to communities at every level has always been one of the University of Sydney’s most important values.
"We attract the most highly qualified students, researchers and educators and provide them with world-leading infrastructure, facilities and support. That’s why we see so many of our graduates making an impact around the world today," Professor Carlin said.
"We also have more than 300 global partnerships, from exchange and study abroad agreements to workplace opportunities, so our students can make the world their campus, which in turn makes them more attractive to both local and international employers."
The Times Higher Education Global Employability University Rankings are published by the UK's leading global provider of rankings and statistics on the world's higher education sector, and has been publishing the highly regarded Times Higher Education World University Rankings since 2010.
