Organisational Ecology and Economic Transition in China
20 March 2012
CSC visiting professor Jane Lu is giving a seminar on the economic transition from planned economy to market economy in China from an organisational ecology perspective.
Her main theoretical argument is that when a new organisational form runs counter to the prevailing institutional codes and norms represented by the old, dominant form, a transitional or hybrid form that share identities with the old form and the new form respectively can transfer legitimacy to the new form.
