'Australia and China at 40' launched by Senator Bob Carr

The China Studies Centre are extremely proud of the

recent launch of their book,Australia and China at 40 which took place at Parliament House, Canberra on 21 August, 2012. The book, which was edited by James Reilly and Jingdong Yuan, both members of the centre, was launched in front of over 150 invited guests, including contributors, alumni and senior University of Sydney staff. The new Executive Director, Prof Kerry Brown, was joined by the Vice Chancellor, Dr Michael Spence and the Foreign Minister, the Hon. Bob Carr to congratulate the editors and contributors on the successful publication of this important collection of essays celebrating 40 years of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. The centre is deeply grateful for the generous support received from Mr William Chiu, Chairman of the Australian Council for the Promotion f the Peaceful Reunification of China, as well as the Australia-China Council.
