Honours for Agriculture Alumni

This year the University of Sydney is celebrating a record number of 73 alumni listed on the 2012 Queen's Birthday Honour Roll. A full listing of Sydney University alumni recipients can be found under related on the right.

From the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment we are privileged to announce three 2012 Queen's Birthday Honour recipients. These awards recognise alumni for their contribution to Australian life and humanity at large.

Mr Edward Edwards, AM, BScAgr '67 is awarded an honour for his service to science in the field of entomology, particularly moths and butterflies, as an author and researcher, and as a mentor.

Mr Christopher Pfeiffer, OAM, BScAgr '74 is awarded an honour for his service to the Australian wine industry as the Founder of Pfeiffer Wines, and to the community of Rutherglen.

Mrs Charlotte Webb, OAM, BScAgr '83 is awarded an honour for her service to the community, particularly through the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens.

Founding Member, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens Inc, since 1998; President, since 2007.

Volunteer Landscape Designer, Welby Garden Centre; volunteer garden design teacher.

Former Secretary, Southern Highlands Branch, Australian Garden History Society.
