Orange Alumni Network

30 April 2010

Alumni and their guests came together to join the University of Sydney and the Western NSW Alumni Network recently for a cocktail reception at the historic homestead Knocklong in the centre of Orange. The guest speaker was University of Sydney dean of agriculture Professor Mark Adams who spoke on feeding the planet. The food at this event was a wonderful local affair with local caterer Red Chilli Deli supplying tremendous food and wines from local vineyards. Approximately 100 people attended the evening travelling from as far away as Parkes.

Knocklong is the home of a University of Sydney alumnus Sue Johnson who is also a current student and has two children studying at the university, and guests delighted in spending time at the historic 18th century homestead. The event was timed to tie in with the start of Orange FOOD Week. The evening's MC was University of Sydney director of alumni and community engagement Tracey Beck.
