Meet a variety of employers in agriculture and hear them give their insights into what it's really like to work there, what the variety of opportunities are and how students can apply for jobs.
Careers in Agriculture AfternoonThursday, 12th August 2010, 4-6pm,

There will be presentations by each of the guest employers followed by the chance to network and talk with the employers over nibbles. The employers attending recruit students from across the whole faculty including agricultural science, agricultural economics, resource economics, land and water science and horticulture. Find out how to best present yourself to an employer; how to write a resume that really appeals to employers, what employers look for in a resume and application letter. Hear from recent graduate Michael Begg on how he won his graduate position.
Workshop 3: Interviews - what works and what doesn't

What to expect at an interview, how to perform in your interview to impress employers. Hear from students going through the interview process at the moment on what they've experienced.
