Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Career Pathways

Monica along with Emily Tubs won scholarships to attend the "Australian Fresh Ideas" conference in Brisbane in June. Students took part in a mentoring program during the event, where they were introduced to key industry professionals and encouraged to pursue areas of particular interest to them.The program is designed to facilitate networking opportunities, and expose students to career and internship opportunities after they graduate.

Monica enjoyed it so much she applied for the US scholarship. "I met a broad range of people and made valuable connections I will definitely use in the future. The seminars were interesting and opened my eyes to opportunities in the fresh produce industry I was not aware of before," she said after the event.

PMA Australia-New Zealand Limited is the first stand-alone global affiliate of Produce Marketing Association (PMA) - a global trade association serving the produce and floral supply chains by enhancing the marketing of produce, floral, and related products and services worldwide. PMA members are buyers and sellers from every segment of the produce and floral supply chain.

The Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition will be held in Atlanta, Georgia October 14 - 17, 2011.
