The Faculty has a wide variety of activities on offer, giving you every opportunity to discover our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Ten ways an arts degree can change the world

The Dean, Professor Duncan Ivision will highlight 10 ways that arts and social sciences can change the world, discussing the breadth and varied nature of the opportunities available to arts graduates from the University of Sydney.

In an era of rapid change, he will outline how core human values will shape the tide of innovation.

Launch of the Executive Master of Arts and Social Sciences (EMASS)

Open Day marks the official launch of the Executive Master of Arts and Social Sciences (EMASS), one of the world's only cross-disciplinary masters degrees in humanities and social sciences.

EMASS allows you to tailor its content and structure to suit your professional, aspirational and academic needs.

It permits subject selection across a number of disciplines outside of humanities and social sciences, including education and social work, law, engineering and information technology and science.

Located in the University of Sydney's Main Quadrangle, MacLaurin Hall will be the location of the Faculty's extensive Information Booth.

Talk face-to-face to one of our academic advisers and receive the right advice about our programs, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Campus Tours

Join a campus tour and enjoy a 30-minute guided journey led by one of our student ambassadors.

Tours depart at 9am, 9.30am, 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 1pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.30pm and 3pm from under the Clocktower of the Main Quadrangle.


The University of Sydney is home to the Nicholson and Macleay Museums, as well as the University Art Gallery.

From Egyptian mummies to Aboriginal bark paintings, Assyrian archers to butterflies and sea sponges, there is always something new to discover at our museums - and they're all open for you to explore on Open Day.
