The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences would like to congratulate BA Honours student, Nicola Bauman on being selected for the Global Voices delegation to the OECD Forum in Paris during May.

Nicola will be part of a six person youth delegation to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Forum from 4 - 10 May in Paris, France.

Nicola is completing an Honours thesis in French Studies and is a campus ambassador for Teach for Australia.

She recently attended welcome briefings with various stakeholders in Canberra, including the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, as well as the Secretary to the Treasury, representatives at the relevant Embassies, Government departments, and members of the diplomatic corps.

Global Voices was founded in February 2011 by Thom Woodroofe as a non-profit private company limited by guarantee through a British Council grant.

It is now funded through partnerships with Australia’s leading universities, the corporate & philanthropic communities and Government.

Nicola's participation is courtesy of generous alumni donations directed to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Student Activity Fund.

Also representing the Faculty at the OECD Forum is Head of the School of Economics, Professor Colm Harmon.
