Mr Glenn Stevens
Governor, Reserve Bank of Australia
Glenn Stevens (BEc Hons '80) is a graduate of the University of Sydney and the University of Western Ontario. He joined the Reserve Bank's Research Department in 1980 and held various senior positions in the 1990s, including Assistant Governor (Economic), 1996-2001. He was appointed Deputy Governor and member of the Board of the RBA in 2001, and has been the Governor of the Bank since 2006. Mr Stevens is Chairman of the Reserve Bank Board, the Payments System Board, and the Australian Council of Financial Regulators. He is also a representative on the Financial Stability Board, an international body representing regulatory authorities, for the promotion of financial stability.
