Public lecture: Legacy of the Chinese Cultured Men

This is a show and tell of the heritage of the Chinese Wen Ren (Cultured Men) who over the last two thousand years have evolved a unique code of virtue, artistic principles, and led China's political cultural and social developments. Wen Ren culture has always been highly revered and will continue to influence China's future. Featured in the talk will be tales of historical Wen Ren figures from Tang, Sung dynasties to the 20th Century, complemented by a rich visual journey of 'Wen Ren Paintings'.

This event is co-hosted by the Confucius Institute and the Australian Fujian Association as part of the City of Sydney's Chinese New Year Festival program.
