Confucius Institute co-presents Chinese Language Teachers Conference on 21 July

The University of Sydney Confucius Institute and the Association of Independent Schools NSW will co-present a Chinese Language Teachers' Conference: New Direction for Chinese, on 21 July. This is the second teachers' conference that the Confucius Institute has co-presented in 2010 following the 30 April Conference 'Connected Classroom and the Teaching of Chinese'.

Chinese language is one of the four national Asian languages and studies in schools program languages. This conference consists of a combination of presentations delivered by leading academics in the field of Chinese Studies and language learning. Topics will include Intercultural language teaching, promoting Chinese in the school, the effective use of ICT (including interactive whiteboards), and the latest on the teaching and learning of Chinese.
