Ochre and Ink Film Screening and Q & A

3 May 2012

Ochre and Ink is a documentary film about the extraordinary story of Chinese-Australian artist Zhou Xiaoping and his inspiring but sometimes controversial collaboration with Aboriginal artists in remote Arnhem Land over 23 years. Xiaoping and artist Johnny Bulunbulun prepare for the highly anticipated opening of their exhibition in Beijing, but events take a dramatic turn.

Zhou Xiaoping was born in Anhui province, China. He studied Fine Art in China before he migrated to Australia in 1989. The film won a Special Jury Prize at the 9th Pacific International Documentary Film Festival in Tahiti this February, and has also been selected by several other international film festivals. At this special screening, the audience will meet Xiaoping Zhou and the film director James Bradley and also have the opportunity to ask questions.
