Confucius Institute will support The Art Gallery of NSW's international symposium on Saturday August 24, 2013 in conjunction with the exhibition A Silk Road Saga - the Sarcophagus of Yu Hong. 
The Confucius Institute partners with CCE to offer high quality Chinese language courses.
Confucius Institute Headquarters launches the "Confucius Institute Scholarship" program to provide financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide.

This course aims to acquaint students with the techniques of how calligraphy was taught and learned over centuries in China. Studying calligraphy was a physical as much as a mental exercise, which in its initial stages aimed more at the control of breath and posture, and movement of body, shoulder, arm and hand. The written characters were the result of achieving a certain balance.
The Confucius Institute will hold the 8th Open Tai Ji Competition at Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre on 9th June 2013, in association with Tai Chi Association Australia. 
The Confucius Institute has presented four Chinese Kunqu performances in Sydney. We continue this effort in supporting 2013 Sydney Festival's Peony Pavilion & the Jade Hairpin.
Public lecture: Legacy of the Chinese Cultured Men, Speaker: Dr Richard Wu
This free lecture will introduce you to the ancient philosophy and principles of Chinese acupuncture. In addition, Dr Zhou will have an acupuncture demonstration, and audience will also have opportunity to ask questions.
