Ali Darendeliler, Chair of Orthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney, was the first Australian to be honoured with the "Sheldon Friel Memorial Lecture Award" at the 89th Congress of the European Orthodontic Society in Reykjavik, Iceland. We were extremely proud to learn that this award, in recognition of Professor Darendeliler's significant scientific contribution to the discipline of Orthodontics, is the highest honour accorded by the European Orthodontic Society.
