Scientists from the Centre received the best research paper award for ICDM'2010 for their paper titled 'Finding Local Anomalies in Very High Dimensional Space' by Timothy de Vries, Sanjay Chawla, and Michael Houle.
Albert Zomaya, a researcher from the Centre has been featured on the Comment:Visions forum (see Green Data) in relation to work related to Green Data Centres.
"Finding Local Anomalies in Very High Dimensional Space" has been selected as one of the best papers for possible publication in Knowledge and Information Systems (KAIS)
A European FP7 International Research Staff Exchange Scheme proposal titled "CoopLab" has been recommended for funding. The proposed project, which involves Dr. Lavy Libman from the CDHPC in collaboration with CERTH (Greece), University Pierre and Marie Curie (France), New York University's Polytechnic Institute (USA), NICTA (Australia), Nile University (Egypt) and Abdelmalek Essaadi University (Morocco), will target the emerging area of cooperative wireless communications through a systematic experimental approach, and will implement and support several representative cooperative scenarios in a federated testbed environment that will provide open and easy-to-use interfaces for experimentation in wireless networks.
