Publication celebrates the Faculty of Education and Social Work

The Faculty of Education and Social Work is excited to announce the inaugural issue of the Making a Difference (pdf, 2.28MB) publication this week.

Currently ranked eighth in the world for research in education (QS Rankings, 2014), the publication celebrates this achievement by highlighting the vast range of research and programs carried out by the academics and PhD candidates in the faculty.

Profiles in this publication include Professor Robyn Ewing, whose passion for the arts sees her researching the use of drama to improve literacy, Associate Professor Lesley Harbon, who elaborates on the importance of languages, John Hobson on the revival of Aboriginal languages, and Adjunct Honorary Professor and acclaimed children's book author Libby Gleeson.

The publication includes further alumni of the faculty including Helen Sham Ho, Australia's first Chinese-born parliamentarian and community leader, Murat Dizdar, Executive Director for Public Schools in NSW and Alexander Wharton prominent school teacher in Sydney.
