Master of Learning Sciences and Technology

An innovative academic program that caters to people wishing to gain expert skills and knowledge in designing successful learning experiences with technology, the Master of Learning Sciences and Technology offers you the choice of two specialised streams.

The Professional Stream is designed for those who work, or wish to work, in the field of eLearning within companies, government organisations or educational institutions.

The Research Stream is intended for those who wish to conduct research into ICT-supported learning and are likely to progress to a PhD in the field.

Informed by the Centre for Research on Computer-supported Learning and Cognition (CoCo Research Centre), the course consists of units created from the ground up using research-based expertise emerging from the learning sciences, and provide unparalleled insight into the design, management and research of technology-supported learning.

Master of Education (Educational Management and Leadership)

Designed for anyone who aspires to a leadership position in an educational organisation or who is interested in understanding more about management and leadership positions within these contexts, the Educational Management and Leadership specialisation is aimed to develop and support the careers of trained teachers who are teaching professionals, educational administrators, researchers and policymakers.

You will acquire an understanding of theories of educational management and leadership, and of organisational behaviour and change processes and their impact on organisations.

Master of Education (Special and Inclusive Education)

Designed to help candidates develop the skills, knowledge and values needed to specialise in teaching children with special education needs, or to qualify for appointments as leaders, consultants and resources personnel in special education, the Special and Inclusive Education specialisation is recognised by the NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC) as a formal qualification in this field.

You will tackle the challenges of students with special education needs, early language and learning issues, preventing disruptive behaviour, and teaching students with learning difficulties.

Master of Education (Sports Coaching)

Designed for elite-level coaches and experienced elite athletes seeking to become coaches, the Sports Coaching specialisation builds on your technical expertise by developing your skills in:

  • communicating ideas clearly to athletes
  • organising training sessions for maximum impact
  • giving and receiving feedback
  • using technology as a coaching tool
