The session aims to raise the awareness of the Safe Schools Project

The Faculty of Education and Social Work is excited to announce an upcoming presentation and Q&A session on Safe Schools Project, an initiative coordinated by Safe Schools Coalition Australia.

The session aims to raise the awareness of the Safe Schools Project, which looks strategies to support LGBTI young people in schools and universities.

Safe Schools Coalition Australia provides resources and support to equip school staff with knowledge, skills and practical ideas to create safer and more inclusive school environment for same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse students, staff and families.

Students, staff, and the wider community are welcome to the presentation to explore this important initiative.

Mary Flaskas, Project Officer from the Safe Schools Coalition NSW will be presenting and answering questions.

The presentation will be on Monday 10 October 4:00 - 5:30pm followed by an afternoon tea from 5:30 - 6:00pm and an opportunity for one-on-one conversations.

The session is located at Lecture Theatre 351, Education Building (A35), Faculty of Education and Social Work, Manning Road, The University of Sydney.
