Romy Waterlow spent the last eight years of her life dedicated to working as a counsellor in the area of HIV/AIDS at Royal North Shore Hospital and within the North Shore community.

The Romy Waterlow Training Fellowship Trust was established in 1998 to provide scholarships to enable counsellors to undertake education and training programs at the University of Sydney, or other relevant organisations.

The value of this Scholarship is up to $5,500.00 for one year only.

How to apply

In a written application of no more than two pages applicants should provide the following details:

1.A statement on:

(a) the education and training program for which this scholarship will be used; and

(b) how this scholarship would benefit/contribute, in your work in the HIV/AIDS or related areas, e.g. health, community work, professional practice education;

2.A Degree/Diploma in Social Welfare, Social Work or Psychology (transcripts to be provided);

3.At least two years’ experience working in HIV or a related area e.g. health, community work, professional practice education;

4.A demonstrated commitment to ongoing work in the area of HIV and related areas e.g. health, community work, professional practice education;

5.CV summary.
