Cumberland alumni recognised in Queen's Birthday Honours

The Faculty of Health Sciences is proud to announce that our alumni have been recognised for their leadership in Health Sciences in the June 2009 Queen's Birthday Honours.

LCDR Bronwyn A Ferrier (MHthScEd '98)

CSM for meritorious achievement as the Officer-in-Charge of the Fleet Industrial Hygiene Support Unit.

Bronwyn has a job with the Royal Australian Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. Her tertiary qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing, Master in Health Science Education, and Master in Public Health.

Ms Kay M Kavanagh (BN '92)

OAM for service to the aged care industry.

Kay is well known for her dedication to aged care, through her work with the Catholic Health Care Services. Now retired Kay was the Manager for The Mercy Family Centre in Waterloo.
