Prof Kendig chairs NSW whole-of-government Ageing Roundtable
21 September 2011
Professor Hal Kendig, Director of the Ageing Work and Health Research Unit in the Faculty of Health Sciences and a Chief Investigator on the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research, last week chaired an Ageing Roundtable for the NSW government. The roundtable was viewed as the first step in developing the new whole-of-government NSW ageing strategy.
Held at Parliament House and hosted by the Minister for Ageing, the Hon Andrew Constance MP, the roundtable brought together leaders and experts on ageing from across government, academia and non-government sectors to set key directions for the new strategy.
Key documents from the roundtable have been released and are available on the NSW Family & Community Services website at http://www.adhc.nsw.gov.au/about/strategies/ageing_strategy_consultations
