Discussing bioethics with the Dalai Lama

His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Professor Stewart
Professor Cameron Stewart was part of a panel which discussed bioethics problems with the Dalai Lama in June for the Western Sydney Local Health District.
The session was organised and Chaired by Professor Jeremy Chapman of the Millenium Institute and University of Sydney and the panel also include Associate Professor Ian Kerridge of the Centre for Values Ethics and the Law in Medicine, University of Sydney.
The topics discussed included the degree to which the government should influence personal decisions regarding health, the ethics of organ donation and whether developed nations have a duty to help improve the health of developing economies.
