QS World University Rankings 2011/2012

Sydney Law School moved up to tenth in the world in the latest QS World University Rankings for 2011/2012.

As part of its final QS World University Rankings by Subject release, it revealed the 200 top-ranked universities in the world for the following social sciences and management disciplines:

  • Statistics & Operational Research
  • Sociology
  • Politics & International Studies
  • Law
  • Economics & Econometrics
  • Accounting & Finance
  • Communication & Media Studies
  • Education

Sydney Law School moved up one placed after it was ranked eleventh in 2010/2011.

The top ten in the world for law were as follows:

  1. Harvard University
  2. Yale University
  3. University of Oxford
  4. University of Cambridge
  5. Columbia University
  6. Stanford University
  7. New York University (NYU)
  8. The University of Melbourne
  9. London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)
  10. University of Sydney and National University of Singapore (tied)
