The latest edition of Sydney Law School's magazine for alumni and the legal community includes a special focus on children and the law.

Highlights of this edition include:
  • An exclusive interview with The Hon. Justice Peter Johnstone (LLB 1973), President of the Children's Court of New South Wales
  • Associate Professor Judith Cashmore on Child Protection and the Law and the national royal commission into institutional responses to child Sexual Abuse
  • Dr Rita Shackel on evidentiary challenges in child sexual assault cases and how there is still much to be learnt about child sexual victimisation to ensure that those working in the field are appropriately supported, as are victims themselves and those accused or found guilty of such crimes
  • Professor Patrick Parkinson on the Royal Commission on Child Sexual Abuse and Religious Institutions

We have also published the University of Sydney's International Women's Day address by the Dean, Professor Joellen Riley as well as a report from the Sydney Law School Jessup Team, recently named National Champions for 2013.
