Regulation of Market Manipulation and Abuse focuses on on practices that threaten the integrity of global securities markets.

Taught by Sydney Barrister, Greg O'Mahoney the unit examines recent developments (including high profile prosecutions for market abuse) in Australia and the United States while selecting other jurisdictions (most notably China, India, South Africa, Brazil, Europe and Hong Kong) that are relevant to the different subjects considered.

Greg O'Mahoney is a barrister at Seven Wentworth Chambers.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Sydney Law School and he is currently Counsel Assisting the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in Operation Credo and Operation Spicer.

Prior to commencing at the Bar, Greg studied as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he completed the B.C.L and was awarded a D.Phil.

He is co-authoring a book with Dr Rohan Hardcastle on market manipulation and insider trading to be published by Hart Publishing.

In 2005-2006 he was Associate to Murray Gleeson AC.
