Sydney Law School is pleased to announce the launch of a new intensive course in administrative law, as a part of a new partnership with Australian Government Solicitor (AGS). 

Excellence in Government Decision-making is set to be a week-long intensive course suitable for lawyers and non-lawyers and highly relevant to Public Servants and related legal staff.

The course is set to be delivered by a variety of key experts including:

• The Hon. Justice Paul Finn, Federal Court of Australia
• The Hon. Justice Paul Basten, Supreme Court of New South Wales
• The Commonwealth Solicitor-General, Stephen Gageler SC
• Deputy President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Stephanie Forgie
• AGS Chief Counsel, Litigation, Tom Howe QC
• Dean of the Sydney Law School, Professor Gillian Triggs

Other members of the AGS and Sydney Law School Faculty are also set to present.

Participants can elect either to receive a Certificate of Completion from the AGS and the Sydney Law School or complete the assessment and obtain credit towards a postgraduate coursework qualification at the Sydney Law School, such as the Sydney LLM for lawyers or the Master of Administrative Law & Policy (MALP) for non-lawyers.

The cost for the unit is $3,450 and it is scheduled to run from Monday, 30th March to Friday, 3rd April 2009.
