Sydney Law School is pleased to announced a new specialised taxation unit, Japanese International Taxation, taught by Professor Yoshirio Masui from the University of Tokyo. The intensive unit is part of the 2009 Sydney Law School Postgraduate Program. Designed to provide students with an overview of the income tax system of Japan as well as the legislative and treaty rules of Japan in the area of international income tax, especially in dealings with Australia, it is available to study through the following Sydney Law School degree programmes:
Candidates can also enrol in the subject on a Legal Professional Development (LPD), Single Unit Enrolment or Cross-Institutional basis. The unit represents a further expansion in the strength of Sydney Law School's postgraduate program in international taxation alongside units such as Chinese International Taxation, taught by Professor Jinyan Li, Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada, US International Taxation, taught by Professor Stafford Smiley, Caplin & Drysdale Attorneys, Washington D.C. USA and UK International Taxation, taught by Professor Malcolm Gammie QC, Chambers of Lord Grabiner QC. |
