The Hon. Justice Ian Harrison SC (BA 1972, LLB 1975) of the Supreme Court of New South Wales delivered the occasional address at the 2009 Sydney Law School Graduation Ceremony.

The Sydney Law School also bestowed an Honouray Doctor of Laws (LLD) on The Hon. Justice Arthur Emmett (BA 1964, LLB 1967) of the Federal Court of Australia.
