Looking locally in the search for top CEOs

Professor Jennifer Hill commented on the issue of international recruitment of Chief Executive Officers for Australian companies.

In an article published in The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, Professor Jennifer Hill said recent annual reports in Australia showed the chief executives of the local top 15 companies were paid about 135 times as much as an average employee, compared with their US peers, who earn about 500 times as much.

However, the top US companies are usually bigger than their Australian counterparts.
