Dr David Rolph discusses one of the most effective tools powerful individuals and corporations reach for when they want to silence the media - the "super injunction."
In an interview with Radio Atticus on 2SER, Dr Rolph says such a type of injunction, which prevents public knowledge of the injunction in the first place,may be acceptable in extreme cases such as national security, but it is still a notion that is deeply problematic.

"People's confidence in the judicial system is affected if the courts are shrouded in secrecy."

Dr Rolph also comments on the recent Trafigura controvery involving the Guardian Newspaper in the United Kingdom.
