Microsnesia, the Czech Repubic and coal fired power

In a recent episode of the ABC Radio Australia programme In The Loop, Dr Tim Stephens discussed the submission by the Federated States of Micronesia to the government of the Czech Republic in relation to the latter's plan to extend the life of one of its coal fired power plants.

"The Federated States of Micronesia has called for the Czech government to take into account the impact additional greenhouse gases will have on the FSM, which is an archipelago nation of 600 of so islands, many of which are low-lying and threatened by sea level rises," Dr Stephens said.
