Genetically Modified Organisms and Environmental Law

Professor Rosemary Lyster and Professor Johannes Somsen from Tilburg University investigates the appropriate regulation of GMOs from interdisciplinary perspectives including science, ethics, economics and environmental law in this first semester intensive postgraduate unit.

Genetically Modified Organisms and Environmental Law examines the potential risks presented by GM crops, including the presence of antibiotic resistance genes in the GM crop and thedanger of GM crops to human health.

The unit is available to study through the following Sydney Law School degree programmes:

Candidates can also enrol in the subject on a Legal Professional Development (LPD), Single Unit Enrolment or Cross-Institutional basis.
