Principles of US Taxation will run as a semester length unit on Wednesday evenings at the Law School's campus in Phillip Street from 28th July 2010.

Taught by Micah Burch, Senior Lecturer in Taxation Law, the unit will examine the basic principles of US income taxation and provide an overview of the US tax system.

The unit is available to study through the following Sydney Law School degree programmes:

• Master of Laws (LLM) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GradDipLaw)
• Master of Administrative Law & Policy (MALP)
• Master of Business Law (MBL)
• The Master of Global Law (MGlobL)
• Master of Internatioal Law (MIL) or Graduate Diploma in International Law (GradDipIL)
• Master of International Business & Law (MIntBus&L)
• Graduate Diploma in International Business Law (GradDipIntBusL)
• Master of International Taxation (MIntTax)
• Master of Taxation (MTax) or Graduate Diploma in Taxation (GradDipTax)

Candidates can also enrol in the subject on a Legal Professional Development (LPD), Single Unit Enrolment or Cross-Institutional basis.

It also meets the training and development requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICCA).

Sydney Law School is scheduled to deliver over 30 units of study in Taxation and International Taxation in 2010, taught by members of the Ross Parsons Centre of Commercial, Corporate and Taxation Law and our distinguished international visiting and adjunct faculty.
