Sydney Law School would like to congratulate Fiona Roughley (BA 2006, LLB 2008) on winning a Gates Cambridge Scholarship.

These generous awards are offered for graduate study and research in any subject available at the University of Cambridge and to citizens of any country outside of the United Kingdom.

In 2010, 80 Scholarships were awarded: three to law students and seven to Australians.

"I feel extraordinarily privileged," Fiona said.

"I also believe that the Trust's decision to award me a scholarship is a testament to the quality and all-roundedness of a University of Sydney education and the calibre of its Law School."

Fiona will undertake a Master of Laws (LLM) at Cambridge.

Fiona was part of the World Champion Jessup Team from Sydney Law School in 2007.
