Professor Michael Dirkis welcomes the decision by the Gillard Government to revisit the Henry Tax Review at a public forum next year.

"They needed to do something, and a lot of the sacred cows that have been removed should be put back on to the agenda," Professor Dirkis says, in an article published in today's edition of The Australian.

Professor Dirkis says most of the things the government did not act on carried political costs, by creating winners and losers.
"It may be that a minority government is the best way to get some of this stuff through, if there is some movement between the two parties on the issues," he argues.
